Electronic Cigarette – Why Aren't They Approved Yet?
Recently, if you are not aware, the electronic cigarette is drawing so much attention in 
our communities and also in the media. This has sparked the questions of what are the electronic cigarettes and are they safe to use. Most people are worried about using the electronic cigarette because the FDA hasn't approved of these alternative smoking devices yet. Why hasn't the FDA approved these electronic cigarettes yet?

Here is a quick review on how the electronic cigarette works. When you puff on the electronic cigarette there is a battery that sends an electrical charge to an atomizer in the electronic cigarette refill or nicotine cartridge. The atomizer heats up the liquid nicotine and gives of nicotine water vapor and not smoke.
This is one of the reasons why people want to start using these electronic cigarettes is because when you inhale the water vapor you are not inhaling any deadly carcinogens or tar and carbon monoxide. Huge health benefits but still the FDA hasn't approved the electronic cigarette yet.
Here is the kicker. Tobacco cigarettes have been approved and are the cause of millions of deaths each year. Why are these approved and the electronic cigarette hasn't been approved yet? Again, its because of the money. If they could tax the electronic cigarette I bet they would be approved in a heartbeat but I guess it is better to make money off of people dying of lung cancer isn't it?
Needless to say, there a lot of people including lawyers that are working on getting the electronic cigarette approved so that people can start to live a healthier life without smoking tobacco cigarettes. Even though you may not want to quit smoking, these electronic cigarettes will give you the same pleasure of smoking a tobacco cigarette without all of the damaging health effects that come with smoking a tobacco cigarette.
